I'm back with another review of one of my personal favorite skin care lines, Valentia! Recently, they launched a brand new serum, their Clear Lift Revitalizing Serum. It's packed with oodles of skin nourishing ingredients that seep deeply in to your skin to leave it feeling refreshed and renewed. Now who doesn't want that?!
The Clear Lift Revitalizing Serum is all about minimizing fine lines, increasing elasticity, and brightening and correcting skin tone with organic and natural ingredients. Here are some of the seriously repairing ingredients to note:
- Wakame Bioferment (seaweed): increases skin oxygen consumption to detoxify & boost antioxidant defense
- Gotu Kola: lessens the appearance of scars & increases skin firmness (yay!)
- Lactic Acid: increases skin cell turnover for healthier renewed skin
- Licorice: lightens unwanted pigmentation & lightens skin discoloration
- Argan Oil: naturally rich in Vitamin E, this oil reduces water loss & protects skins resiliency & elasticity
In order to properly test this serum I swapped out Valentia's Royal Rose Hydrating Serum (see that review here in case you missed it) for Clear Lift to compare the difference.
Initially, you are met with a pretty pungent scent that I assume comes from the either the seaweed or licorice ingredients. I don't consider it a major negative, only because the scent dissipates fairly quickly after application. What comes next is the good stuff.
All you need is a pump or two to gently rub in to the skin on your face. The serum is on the thinner side and quickly absorbed in to my skin, leaving it feeling lightly moisturized. I definitely recommend using a face cream/moisturizer after the serum is completely dry to give an extra hydrating boost.
After a week of use I definitely saw some minor changes. The redness in my skin seemed to be fading and my face continually felt so soft and supple. All wins in my book!
Since my skin is in relatively good condition I don't expect to see any drastic changes. However, just the knowledge that I'm feeding my skin nutrients it needs to be at its best is what motivates me to keep up my daily skincare routine!
I intend on keeping the Clear Lift Revitalizing Serum in rotation within my routine because I want to see the redness in my face to go down even more. It's probably my biggest qualm with the skin on my face!
So would I recommend this product? For sure! I give it 4.5 out of 5 for its color corrective properties.
