If you had uttered to me a couple years ago that I needed to have a romper in my wardrobe, I would have scoffed... in your face. My retort would've been, "Why would I ever want something so unflattering??" Truth be told, I was turned off by the style because I had one too many incidents in the fitting room with rompers that well... looked unbearably awful, which unfortunately made me scratch the style off my "to try and buy" list for quite some time.
However, since these incidents I've become smarter about what rompers I try and which ones I avoid at all costs. The trick to them (like all clothes) is to find a shape, style, and material that flatters your personal shape. As a girl with a larger ass(et) I need a fit that sits at the small of my waist while still having plenty of material to cover everything. Not a fan of cheeky shorts that let it all hang out. Classy with a hint of sexy is the balance I strive to strike, and that's why this romper from ASTR via Nordstrom is absolute perfection. The long sleeves balance out the major leg exposure, and by pairing this romper with clogs and a floppy hat it also tones down what could be a very sexy little number.
How do you style your rompers?
