I'll be straight with you guys. This coat is not flattering. I look like a broad shouldered football player that guzzled one too many raw eggs as a child. So there, I said what everyone is probably thinking!
But you know what? I honestly don't care! Some times the pieces I love the most or find the most striking are silhouettes that I probably shouldn't be wearing. Sheath dresses? Love them! Not the best look for me. Boxy tops? Want them all! But most likely should be avoiding at all costs.
However, I argue that you can transform a so called "unflattering" piece and manipulate it in to a look that just works. While a t-shirt, jeans, and boots combo is nothing new, the classic simplicity pairs well with this all encompassing stand-out coat. And because it's me, I also added a dash of whimsy with the cat-eared beanie. Too silly and fun to pass up on! Plus it reminded me of beanies and hats that were in style while I lived in Seoul. Nostalgia at its best. :)
