The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance.

Hi everyone! I'M BACK!

Honestly, you have no idea how amazing it feels to be back to blogging! My respite from fashion was a long but necessary departure. Returning home to San Diego after a year abroad teaching English in Seoul was a massive life change for me. I didn't realize how much it would affect me, and how much it really did change who I am. Who knew reverse culture shock could be so intense?? Also, dealing with the job market in the U.S. was rough! For a time I seriously questioned whether returning to the states was the right move. However, thankfully I am gainfully employed and working at an amazing company in the marketing field. Now those earlier doubts have been completely erased. Funny how that happens.

I think the biggest hindrance was a lack of motivation (ouch). When I was in Seoul I lived and breathed fashion because the fashion scene there was ALIVE, unlike in San Diego. Returning to a mega-chill style that left me with little inspiration was a transition I didn't prepare myself for properly. In addition, my IFBK girls and I created our own blogger community, which brought together Korean bloggers, designers, photographers and more together with foreign bloggers. Giving up that community was hard. Luckily, we are keeping IFBK and our friendships going strong despite being separated by thousands of miles.

I'll end my long-winded story with the news that my burning passion for all things fashion has returned! Now I am more excited than ever to share my personal story and take on style. I hope that you will follow along!
