It's hard to believe it's already October! September blew by because it was such a whirlwind of a month for me!
Between a trip to Monterey, attending New York Fashion Week, and a much needed vacation in Costa Rica time has completely escaped me, but in the best way possible.
I have many a post from New York Fashion Week ready to go for you all, but first we're gonna fast forward to my most recent trip to Costa Rica! I've been back nearly two weeks, and I still find myself daydreaming about horse back rides on the beach, sunset thunder storms, and observing adorable monkeys scamper through the rainforest.
Basically, I'm ready to drop everything and move to Costa Rica and be a beach bum. Not really... but really... 😜
I allowed myself to completely detach from my life, work, technology (minus a few IG posts -- I couldn't resist), and any and all worries. I was committed to living the "Pura Vida" lifestyle.
Simply, it was a week of perfection shared with my best friend and roommate. We cheers-ed to her birthday over a smorgasbord of a breakfast, and enthusiastically high-fived after surviving tubing down a ferocious river, horse back riding in a down pour, and zip-lining through the jungle all on our first full day.
Towards the end of our trip we found ourselves enjoying the chill life in the beach town of Samara. The intense humidity called for bikinis, shorts, crop tops, and sandals. I gladly obliged. It was my last chance for a summer tan after all!
This delightful romper set from Tobi answered the call for a tropical paradise ready look! I love how the top hits right at the narrowest part of my waist, giving it the most flattering shape.
The shorts, or rather skort, is the funkiest shape, and I just plain dig it. Clothes with unusual shapes that defy the norm get me excited about fashion. I'm bored with the same old same old. Anyone with me?
Paired with this kitschy Macaw embroidered jean jacket (the obsession is so real) and brightly bedazzled sandals made for a paradise-inspired look I'll always aspire to. Cheesy Hawaiian shirts need not apply.
Tobi's romper set was a twosome made in tropical attire heaven.
Keep an eye out for an upcoming post featuring all of the travel snaps from my Costa Rican adventure! More details on everything we experienced will be revealed soon.
